We respectfully inform our audience of the cancellation of January Subscription Concerts

Please let us first take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra.

We had been trying our best to explore the possibility of opening the season under the baton of Maestro Myung-Whun Chung, our Honorary Music Director. However, in accordance with the government's decision on January 11 “to continue the border enforcement measures to prevent the COVID-19 & the Omicron variant, until the end of February this year, and to suspend the new entry of foreign nationals into Japan," it has become impossible for Maestro Chung to come to Japan, and we have come to the conclusion that the performances should be cancelled instead of replacing the conductor.

We sincerely apologize for the delay in notifying you.

Due to the cancellation, we will be refunding the ticket price of the January subscription concerts. Please read the following information carefully and take the necessary steps to receive the refund.
